Learn the Science behind Low Carb Eating and Living. For me, it’s not enough to be told to do something or that something works. I need to understand the “why”. This book was perfect for that and it really helped me clearly see why this form of eating is beneficial, regardless of which particular method you follow.
This was my starting point with Low Carb Eating. I could not figure out for the life of me why I was so hungry ALL the time. I mean literally 24/7. It was annoying to say the least not to mention really hard to stay fit. I found myself exercising non-stop just to combat the extra calories from being hungry all the time. This book gave me the initial tools and understanding on how to get started. I found my self truly relating to his every word.
This one helped me through some tough stuff. It’s easy to go off track with Low Carb Living, especially if you are the only one in the family that follows the plan. The rest of my family doesn’t have to worry about carbs and how it affects them. But I truly have a metabolic issue that thrives with low carb living and this one helped me through some plateau’s and struggles I knew where there but did not know how to fix. What I love is this was written by a Physicist, not a nutritionist so his perspective is science – my fav!
These books get down and dirty on how to set your hormones straight and what exercises are best. What I like best is that it’s designed for women. She gets it because she’s been through it. So any woman with any form of hormone related issue will understand these guides and really relate to them. Not to mention learn a TON from them; how to correct the hormone imbalance and get on the right track to weightloss.
THE COOKBOOKS I HAVE
500 Crockpot recipes! Man there are some goodies in here. If you love to crockpot this one is for you. I posted a photo of the table of contents to the left so you could see how many recipes are in each category. These recipes are tasty and not complicated – oh and I would say most (if not all) are kid friendly too.
The Paleo Hacks Cookbook set is all about quick and easy. Fast ways to eat paleo without being complicated. This is a set that I would consider perfect for the Paleo newbie.
I have to admit when I first got this one I was a bit concerned about having so many recipes and I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it’s from Paleo Valley who is a veteran in Paleo eating so I really want to try it out. I was pleasantly surprised to find that each category of food is it’s own ebook. What’s even better is each recipe on the table of contents is linked to the page with the recipe so you just click the name of the one you want and boom it finds it for you. So simple and so easy. Recipes are super good to-obviously a huge variety.
This one is all about nutritional fasting, which I do often actually. It’s a short book so a quick read and it’s not a book that will try to “talk you into” anything. He simply provides the scientific evidence surrounding fasting. The health benefits behind it and why it’s helpful. It’s not all about weightloss here – it’s about being healthier.
